'Hairspray' Mock-up Poster

As my final project in my Illustration Disciplines class, I was tasked with creating a poster illustration for a play or musical. I selected the vibrant and uplifting musical Hairspray, known for its upbeat music and empowering messages. I aimed to capture the playful vibrance in the music of Hairspray in this piece, as well as highlight the characters that make the musical so special in the first place.

I also created a motion piece to go alongside this poster in Adobe After Effects.
